GENERAL DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Assurance Analyst II performs the quality testing of new feature and system development to support applications across several cross functional teams. They work with the project manager to understand and document the business requirements and context of the systems which they support. They develop use cases, test cases and test plans to validate system features in a pre-production environment as part of the application lifecycle. They assist with taking products to market through post release verification. They also work closely with the QA Engineers to develop test plans for automation. 

  • Perform functional, feature testing on a variety of web and cloud based applications 
  • Work with Project Managers and Architects to create test cases from user stories 
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the development of new features 
  • Conduct risk assessment on changes to determine regression tests plans as projects progress  
  • Execute post-production release checks to validate system functionality 
  • Assist with code promotion of verified features to staging and UAT environments 
  • Assist with the definition and design of automated test solutions together with the Quality Engineers and Software Engineers

 

PLACEMENT CRITERIA

  • Strong experience (2-4 years) testing business system software applications 
  • Good knowledge of quality assurance and testing methodologies 
  • Ability to develop Test Suites, Test Plans and Test Cases 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook 
  • Experience with Microsoft Test Manager and Team Foundation Server 
  • Experience collaborating with Project Teams, including Project Managers, Business Analysts and Software Engineers 
  • Detail oriented  
  • Ability to think critically and analyze problems 
  • Highly organized with an ability to multi-task by prioritizing and managing time effectively 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong collaboration skills, works well with ambiguity, works well across roles and groups  
  • Ability and willingness to take the initiative to facilitate teamwork and serve the client needs first
